Minecraft 2/24

Today I played Minecraft with the class and our goal was to flatten out the desert by using diamond shovels. I enjoyed trying to find the location of my professor and being able to participate in achieving a common goal with my class. As we were mining, I think I collected some materials, even stole some! This was the best day i've had playing the game yet.

Minecraft 2/13

Today I started out playing minecraft on the single player mode. I did not see or interact with others as I had the entire gameworld to myself. It was daylight the entire time I played today so I was happy that I could see what I was doing. Single player seems different than multiplayer but im not sure how.. It seemed as if I was given materials and did not have to gather them. Although im not sure on the differences, I enjoyed playing by myself more. One of the things I did today was explore random things. I broke a few blocks which let water in and filled up an entire opening which I had to run out of before I drowned. I also dug into the ground for a long time just to see what happened. I found out that I just ended up digging a hole and having to work twice as hard to get out of it! Overall I think I moved a little faster in the game today and I think I have been making progress.

Minecraft 2/2

Both yesterday and today I was not able to play minecraft because the server would not connect... I have been hearing that this is a common problem occuring around campus.

Minecraft 1/25

Today was another hardly successful day in the world of minecraft due to my lack of knowledge of the game and skill for video games themselves. I feel that I lose my abilities and enthusiasm for gaming when I struggle with understanding the concept. Maybe if I discover some kind of excitement from this game some time soon I will be able to enjoy my 15 minutes a day, or nighttime in the game, and have fun with it. Tonight i'll probably look up how to build some things on the internet. Perhaps insight will provide motivation which I desperately need at this point.

Minecraft 1/24

When I started playing minecraft today, it was night time for about the first five minutes. I found that it was harder to move around at night and to see what I was doing. Since I am a beginner and just started playing a few days ago, I was constantly running in circles and into walls. Once it was daylight again, I noticed that I had been trapped in some place with another character, perhaps in their home? I eventually found my way out because I saw light appear from the ceiling and jumped out of the top. Once I was out of that hole in the ground, I ran around a bit until it began to rain in some areas and snow in others. I punched some rocks and got some supplies today and I didn't come in contact with any wolves or anything that tried to harm me so I guess today was pretty successful..
